The game is currently under development and will take long before it gets ready for release. Release date has also been confirmed for the game. The current release date has been set to September 6, 2011; this means you can get Resistance 3 download once it releases on Sept 6. The game would be Playstation 3 exclusive like previous games of the series. So there will be no Resistance 3 for PC, Xbox 360 or any other platform. This first person shooter game will be available in single player, co-op, online co-op, multiplayer and online multiplayer modes once it releases in 2011.

The plot for the game is set in the year 1957, four years after the events of Resistance 2. Nathan Hale; the main protagonist of the previous two games; will not feature in this game as he had been executed by Joseph Capelli. So Resistance 3 will feature Joseph Capelli as a main protagonist who starts a family with Nathan's stepsister Susan. Though there are lot of changes in the plot seting, but the gameplay settings will remain same througout the game. However there are some changes and new features introduced in the game that you can check yourself after you download Resistance 3. The game provides multiplayer experience as never seen before in the series. Apart from multiplayer modes, there are co-op modes available as well.
