Deadliest Warrior: The Game is a fighting game developed by Pipeworks Software based on the TV documentary with the similar name. The game is being published by Spike Games and just recently got released for Playstation 3. It is also available for Xbox 360 on which it was released in July earlier this year. The game is available for play in both single player as well as multiplayer modes. Deadliest Warrior is available as download only. There is no game on the retail disc. The game was first announced at the Spike Video Game Awards held in December 2009 and later on was shown at the Games Developer Conference and also at E3 2010.
There are 8 playable warriors in the Deadliest Warrior: The Game. Two warriors from two different periods pits into head-to-head combat in an open arena. Each warrior has its own sets of attributes, so player has to adapt to the settings of that warrior in order to fight effectively. There are number of single player mini games in the game and those who would like to have a multiplayer experience can jump into online versus tournament multiplayer modes. The list of warriors includes ninja, apache, knight, pirate, spartan, roman centurion, samurai and viking.
