Final Fantasy VIII Hint: Unlimited Rare Items
This is a hack, so create a back-up of your original file before you decide to alter it. Do not e-mail us with death threats if you mistakenly alter your FAT.
You must have ChocoboWorld in order for this to work. What do you do is play a bunch to get a lot of items on ChocoboWorld. Then instead of transfering the items immediately to your party, save and quit the game and make a copy of chocorpg.* in the \...\Program Files\SquareSoft Inc\Final Fantasy VIII\Save directory. Copy the chocorpg.*, rename it, and place it somewhere else in your directory. When you load FFVIII and transfer all the items to your game, make sure the Chibocobo goes back into the Chocobo world and is not with your party. Save and quit the game again.




Copy the chocorpg.* copy, rename it into chocorpg (you may have to delete the original file before Windows allows you to do such a renaming) so you can reap the beneifits of one play of the ChocoboWorld.
