However, the Kingdom was not yet out of danger. In order to reach Ys the
monsters created the Tower of Darm, a gigantic structure that reaches
into the heavens. And to make matters worse, one day the goddesses are
nowhere to be found. The six priests of Ys assemble a search party of
knights and mages that are sent down to the surface to try and bring the
goddesses back and find out why they left in the first place.Ys Origin takes place 700 years before the start of Ys I, when the Kingdom of Ys still exists. Once a prosperous paradise, the Kingdom suffers an attack at the hands of swarms of monsters that seem to appear from nowhere, and before long the monsters reach the Palace of Solomon at the heart of Ys.
As it seems all is lost, the twin goddesses Feena and Reah use the power of the Black Pearl to raise the Kingdom into the sky.
