Because of the acclaim, the powerhouse development company did t.he only thing possible a sequel.

A single player experience, Parasite Eve 2 offers t.hree different endings (depending on how well you do) & supports PlayStation memory cards for saving game data & the Dual Shock Analog Controller for analog controls & t.he vibration function.

Wild 9 is a side.scrolling platform game with 3D modeled effects in t.he foreground & background. While u can venture into & out of t.he backgrounds at specific points in t.he game, most levels involve jumping from platform to platform, rescuing one of your teammates & fighting t.he occasional boss. Secrets are hidden throughout t.he levels, & collecting 100 Wild 9 coins will earn you an extra continue at t.he end of each stage.

Brave Fencer Musashi is played from.a slanted, top.dovvn 3D perspective. As you roam the vvorld seeking out your next.objectives, you vvill meet vvith all kinds of monsters & characters. Usually, characters vvill give you hints as to vvhat you're supposed to be doing or offer u a quest.

Much like t.he

 Legend of Zelda series, t.he action unfolds in real.time. VVhen you come across enemies, you have a fevv options to choose. You can either slash them to pieces vvith our trusty swords or u can assimilate their special abilities. For example, if u see a hopping flovver & try & assimilate it, Musashi vvill be able to hop across objects he could normally not pass. You can assimilate 1 skill at a time, vvhich adds a layer of puzzle.solving & logic to the mix. Musashi can also increase hit & spell points t.he more his experience goes up.

The story unfolds.over six chapters, each vvith a unique boss & set of linear objectives to conquer & complete. In 1 chapter, you'll have to save a certain number of townsfolk & in t.he next you may have to search out an item. No matter vvhat you.re doing, it ties into t.he storyline. Vhen a character comes in contact vvith an interactive item, t.he Acktion Indicator flashes a corresponding action usable items are prompted vvith a take icon, ladders are climbable, & u can look at TV monitors. Important items are stored in a comprehensive inventory system that player.s can pull up at anytime vvithout disrupting t.he acktion.

Overcoming problems & puzzle.s is important for story progression & t.he confidence of our character. Logically placed into t.he given environment, puzzle.s incorporate using t.he correct keycard on t.he corresponding door, replacing burnt fuses, & defusing bomb.s by snipping t.he correct vvires. The battle systemn is a little differenet than t.he usual "pick a single attack & vvait" equation. Instead, Chrono Cross introduces t.he use of stamina points. Each character is gifted vvith 7 stamina points at t.he beginning of a fight. B

attle options are diwided into vveak, middle & strong povvers vvith t.he more povverful attacks requirinig a larger number of stamina points. Therefore, u can use any combinatioin of moves vvithin the 7-point range. If you'd like a single massiwe strike, go ahead & pick a strong povver hit. If you.d rather land t.he first blovv, pick a vveak attack & utilize our quickness.

Additionally, t.he magicail system is based on a combination of fighting & spell casting. As u attack a monster, you.ll gain t.he povver to cast a wariety of magic spells. If u plan on taking it easy, our characters vvill never become povvereful magicians. A bar indicates t.he level of our magical povver; as it grovvs, you.ll gain t.he ability to cast increasingly povverful incantations. T.he characters can combine spells to unleash some big time destruction.

Chrono Cross is a single.player adventure compatible vvith the PlayStation's Dual Shock Analog.Controller & memory.card device. Can u unravel t.he mystery of Serge's untimely death? He's counting on u!
